I still enjoy it because there is nothing else on Tuesday nights in that time slot. However, the show seems to becoming stale in that it is the same thing over and over again each season.

I did notice though that this season they seem to be focusing more on the economic aspect of running the boats and the capital required to keep them at sea.

I always wondered how much they get payed for having the film crews on board and how much gets passed on to the crew.

It takes a significant amount of money. What continually stymies me, even though I know the answer as to "why?", is how they can leave the dock without proper and sufficient maintenance and repairs done, and something breaks that shuts them down, or even forces them back to the dock. THAT is expensive.

This season sure did start with a bunch of money woes. Met Capt. Keith at the Workboat show in New Orleans last December, he seemed to be in a good mood, so I guess they made some money this past season, although he was being a spokeman for CAT and they were paying the tab for him to be there.

I must say that was a pretty good performance Keith gave after getting a little bump on the head.....

All in all, I think all the captains are hamming it up a bit. You will never convince me Phil didn't know he would not be able to fish long before that "last minute call" at the dock.

I think the first 2 seasons were the best.
