Boat Name / Handle Name

Recommended Posts

Having a very simple name like "Bob" I was always collecting pictures of signs from establishments such as "Bob's Plumbing", "Bob's Cars", Bob's Boats", etc. When it came time to name this boat I was looking for a more tropical name than the Reel Estate I had used before. While looking at charts of the tropics, it hit me - Bob's Cay. Helped that my last name began with "K".

Hence my own little island.

Dbetterred is a play on the old Killian's Red tag line "The Better Red". I am redheaded (and a stepchild!). So it fit. I've used it for most everything for ten or twelve years, can't stop now.

The boat is named "Dragon Anchor" long history of dragons in the family (grandfather's camper was named the "Dragon's Cave" and they had a tent named the "Dragon's Den") had to continue the family tradition.

And of course, the anchor will never grab on the first try!!!

Back in the early 80's named first boat Billfish and became my nickname to this day.

Tried setting up handles but Billfish was already used so I'm BillfishNfool,

aka Bill the fishn fool :239_fishing:

I see Rich has already explained our boat's name, so I'll skip that. My mom chose my "handle."
