  1. GREAT pics Trrooster, sure brings back memories.I haven't been to Portsmouth since 1998.I think I'll just have to get back to my old ways.Really nice drum, congrats!
  2. Miller time, how long are you staying in Hatteras. We'll be coming down at the end of the week,Friday 22nd.I think Bly will be fishing a couple days with us.There will be 4-5 boats in our group so we'll have some info, tips, etc.
  3. I took a formal course (I think it was 40hrs.)back in 1981 to obtain a USCG "six pack" license to charter my boat.Houston Marine Services administered the course and the USCG gave the test.I kept the license for 15 yrs.and decided I had enough of charters and let it go.Just last summer had to take an 8hr. boater safety course required by the State of New Jersey.I believe this was bought on by an incident where a fellow(B.F.)plowed is 40 something Viking through a fleet of fishing boats a couple miles off LBI N.J. killing 2 or 3 elderly fishermen. Most of us felt the boat was on auto pilot with no one at the helm.
  4. I purchased one 2 years ago at a boat show, the price was down to $718.00 and I'm considering buying another one just for peace of mind of having two on board.
  5. It looks like a 1980s vintage 25' Tiara (Pursuit)
  6. early to bed, early to rise, fish hard as Hell , and make up Lies!
  7. Back in the early 80's named first boat Billfish and became my nickname to this day. Tried setting up handles but Billfish was already used so I'm BillfishNfool, aka Bill the fishn fool
  8. Old Sea Crafts have always put me in awe, back in the day they were rated for 500hp and I had a bud with a cc that had twin 235hp Johnsons and a factory tower.I'll try to get pics of that "Space shuttle"and post them.I regularly fished the Wilmington/Spencer canyons back in the early 80s with mine and everyone considered me nuts(kinda Barta-ish).
  9. How about some pics of the fungus, would be nice to know what it looks like.
  10. Here's my 1979 Sea Craft Scepter powered by twin 140hp Volvo Penta 4cyl. IOs.Sold her in late 80's to build house, raise kids, you know something had to go!
