Battery Replacement

Man, these AGMs are pricey. I have a hard time spending close to $250 for 1 battery when I can buy 3 wet cells for the same amount.

True, but those flooded cells won't last 10 years either.

When you spread the cost out over the life of the batteries, the cost is actually reasonable.

The Optimas I have in the boat now have never been removed for a winter, and other than normal cleaning of the connections, they have never needed any service.

The only reason I'm replacing them is because I need them to power my emergency backup sump pump because the 2 year old flooded cell presently powering the system is toast.

It would not suprise me.

Check out the OEM's that use their products. It's quite extensive.

Problem is that many companies are tight lipped about their rebranding practices so it's tough to know for sure.

Alright well I think I am just going to replace the deep cycle house battery with a wet cell from sears. They seem to have gotten good reviews over in the other battery thread. Thanks for all the help.
