Best time of the year

I was out in the yard today tinkering on the boat thinking that this is the best time of the year. I haven't broke anything on the boat yet. In a few weeks the rocks will be running in the Roanoke. The weather is getting warmer by the day and my mind is full of great expectations for this fishing season. Man, I can't wait.

Yes...March is a beautiful time of the year. The begining of spring and its already in the mid 80s here in South FL. Its a little windy though so the ocean is a little rough to go offshore. But nothing wrong with some intercoastal cruising.

Spring is my favorite time for surfing...usually too windy & water to cold to enjoy the boat other than fishing which I am eager to do after grouper season opens and the winds die down. Fof the boat, I prefer late summer & early fall when the water is still warm & the sandbars are less crowded.

Heard that. We're off to Weldon in a couple of weeks. I haven't been since 06. Hoping to get into some stripers and shad.

We are headed to Sunset Beach on Sunday for a week of coastal capers!!...gettin' some brake work done today in preparation towin' boat...hopin' the weather gods cooperate...it can be tricky down there this time of year...

Move another six or seven hundred miles south and you don't even have to break stuff yourself. The environment does it for you.

As soon as the wind dies down as Chris said, this is the best in South Florida. This weekend upper 80's and less wind. Next month is really great.....water gets warmer, winds die down, them everyone complains its to HOT... not me I love it....bring it on.
