  1. I bought an ACR PLB after the 3 guys drowned last Feb. They were in a boat about the same size as mine on a day I thought about going out. It would have saved everyone's life in that accident.
  2. Single & sea tow. That 11 miles offshore for scallopping is not like 11 miles offshore anywhere else. The 'roughest' seas I've seen out there is 1/2 ft of wind chop. Rental pontoon boats outnumber fiberglass hulls on any Saturday. Not to say that it doesn't get nasty, just not during scallop season. In the Keys, you could be trolling within sight of the lighthouses and do just fine on the fish. The Bahamas...we'll that's up to you.
  3. http://www.floridasportsman.com/xtra/FS_bostonwhaler_200907/ Anyone read this article on the Boston Whaler 370. Not that I am in the market but this thing blew me away!
  4. Spring is my favorite time for surfing...usually too windy & water to cold to enjoy the boat other than fishing which I am eager to do after grouper season opens and the winds die down. Fof the boat, I prefer late summer & early fall when the water is still warm & the sandbars are less crowded.
  5. Stay safe, have fun, catch fish....in that order
