  3. Ordered two as well. Shows delivery to be made tomorrow... Thanks DFreedom for advising how they look...........
  4. I dont miss that stuff at all but good to see some pictures. Lived over in Hayesville and then Waynesville, way to long, then moved to middle of the state and we had just a dusting. 20 miles north of here, they had 5 inches. With these temps, you still gonna have a white christmas............
  5. Ditto on Mr Clean Magic Eraser. Very easy and works great........

  7. So Sorry for your loss. That is one of the hardest things to have to do. Truly mans best friend.........
  8. I know Tim and he not only makes some great tackle but he is one heck of a nice guy. His booth at the saltwater shows are always slammed.
  9. I blame it on all the SW Wind that has done nothing but blow constantly. Has put me in a serious funk.............
  10. Congrats. I figured that it would go quick. I bet you hate to see it go, but somebody got a great boat.
  11. I remember when there was a just a gas station at Holly Springs. We used to live in Dutchman Downs, lol, Monte Kiffen used to be our neighbor, till NC State axed him. I have not been through there in a long time so I can only imagine what it is now., The only private school I am familiar with is Cary Christian Academy. I think thats the right name. My niece used to go there years ago.......
  12. I used to live in Apex and even graduated high school there but that was back in 84. I am now about 45 minutes west of there but my daughter lived in Morrisville and she just graduated from Green Hope High School. I think one of the best high schools there. Not sure of the ages of your children, I think most if not all of the elementary/middle schools are in the year round system. It has advantages and disadvantages. When they get in high school, they redistrict the schools alot. This means one year they could go to X high school and they redistrict, meaning assigning to Y high school, even though you may live two miles from X high school. My ex moved twice to keep our daughter at Green Hope High School. Morrisville area is now the up and coming area. Alot of sub divisions out in the country with shopping centers going up at just about every main intersection Cary has grown so much and it is a very overcrowded small town that is expanding in all directions. Apex is still a small town but it is starting to grow on the outskirts. If I had to move back that way, thats where I would want to be at. Jordan Lake in about 10 minutes from the West Side of Apex and the same for Sharon Harris Lake on the South Side. Thats my short version and as hotspot said, alot of others should chime in. I have a good friend in Apex that is a Realtor. She would be more then happy to help you out finding a rental or sending you any info you need.
  13. Oh man, Rich if I had known that, you could of hung out with me and two other boats. I passed my two assignees on to a friend's (his first time participating) boat, as his assignees was a no show, and they went to R8 buoy. I waited at the MAD docks as well for some late shows. Nobody showed so I took off and met the two boats at the R8 buoy. I would scream and yell (in a good way) at the troops when they would get hooked up. We then left the buoy, went to NW Places, then to Big 10 and Little 10 and then ran back into R8. We got them on the fish and they had a ball...... I am stoked for MAD 4.5....................
  14. Rich Go to www.militaryappreciationday.org On the Home Page, it tells what MAD is all about and goes through the history. You can go to the photo tab and scroll through alot of pictures from past events. You can also go to the forum tab and see several different forums, ie. general chat, mad report, take a hero fishing, patriot news and a fishing forum. The main thing about this day is giving our troops a day of rest and relaxation out on the water. This is a way of letting them know that they are appreciated. Most are happy to be out there and if they catch something, that is just a bonus. HotSpot, care to add to this???
  15. MAD 4.5 @ Oak Island is still 3 months out, but we already have 13 boats that has committed to take troops out for a day of fishing/relaxing and to say THANK YOU for all they do. Our target is 35/40 boats to take out 100/125 troops. Please consider signing up and participating in this very worthwhile event. Take part in the event one time and you will be hooked. I know I am, as I have participated in each event that has been done for the last 4 years. If you have any questions, please shoot me or HotSpot a pm message.

  18. Got a late start this morning and headed straight to the sea buoy and trolled for two hours, nothing. Daughters first trip out, so we stayed close and then she started getting bored and wanted to go to another spot. Punched in some numbers and made the run out. For the next 3 hours it was on. Total in boat, 5 Kings, 3 Throwbacks, 4 that got off the hook. We were the only boat out there......... Came back in and Jaim put us on some Spanish. Boated 6 that were marginal so they were released to grow up. What A Special Day. This First Pic is priceless. She caught the big one of the day and I am still hearing it......... Proud Dad
  19. Outstanding Jason................ I just got back from walking on the beach and wow, flat dead water and a big bright moon. Reefcast calling for less then 2 ft all day tomorrow. Details to follow...............

  21. I just bought my daughter her SaltWater license and grinned from ear to ear. Never pushed her to go but she calls and said, Dad I want to go with you. No hesitation at all to say well lets go. Heading out this evening and will be out and about tomorrow/Sunday morning. Hope to get her on a few fish but being out there together, will be reward enough..............
