Waxing a fiberglass boat below the waterline?

Recommended Posts

If you wax the bottom of a surf board-why not a boat. If you want to take the time to do the work it will be beneficial...

I use to wax the top of my surfboard for traction but never the bottom. In fact, I use to have a board that was rough sanded and that thing would fly! Too old to be doing that now...

All interesting replies. We build motor sailors. For us it's about speed and not so much about cleaning up after. For most power boat owners, the waxing is chore above the waterline and is much harder to do below it. We rough sand our hulls for extra speed.
