Console Redo (Gauges)

Recommended Posts

In addition to adding a starboard dash panel so I can relocate some gauges, I was wondering if there are any gauges that I should have but don't. My boat is a bare bones 17' CC flats boat and currently has a gas gauge, tilt/trim gauge and a compass. Are there any other gauges that would be beneficial or that I should have?

Experience has taught me that a water pressure gauge is a necessity with an outboard engine. It may pee until the pump is completely dead, a pressure gauge will give you a warning of impending failure.

Second that. they are not hard to install on most motors.
