You will only use it for this project, but they are a blast to shoot, and will absolutely get the line as far up the tree as you choose.

Best way to chunk a heaver, too.

A slingshot with a small sinker, light cord through the hole. Once over the branch, tug/jiggle the cord,sinker to the ground, tie on rope and pull over branch.

hung many swings and put many guide lines in trees over the past few years with whatever fishing rod I had laying around, just cast a lead over and reel in your rope, works every time.

You my friend are in dire need of a fishing bow and arrow. As well as needing to be a good shot. But I may not be the guy you need giving advice. It seems like one of my tree cutting episodes featured a Mazda 626 and a Dakota pickup....not good.....

Back your pickup truck up to the tree and put a ladder up there and tie off your rope as high as you can. Should be high enough.

As someone else said, you aren't really pulling the tree down, just need a little tug -- the main job is accomplished at the butt of the tree.
