  1. I like this one when prepairing for offshore trip http://adds.avaitionweather.noaa.gov/winds/
  2. Made it out the inlet today and headed south. Bass off Spring Lake and Sea Girt snagging bunker. Then out to the seagirt reef found seabass water temp 56. Good day on the water
  3. garelick dive ladder with bracket and storage bracket. Good condition never used but was installed on the boat. I removed it because the bracket was in the way on the back of the boat. contact me through this site.
  4. what about casting a sinker over the branch
  5. As with anything you are only getting what you pay for. When you start adding the upgrades in modular that a quality home builder recomends to begin with they are similar in cost. Many things to consider though, wind zone at the top of list. I have seen some very nice modulars but they always feel the same to me. Thick interior walls, wasted space, extra steps and all oriented strand board Always wondered about resale of modulars but never see any notation in real estate listings that a house is a modular. Like they don't want you to know. Custom built or hand crafted always noted.
  6. I believe you should run the boat with old plugs to burn off any residue then change to new plugs .
  7. Azak is a good material for home constuction and could have some applications in the marine world. It is available in 3/4 and 1 inch by 3 1/2 5 1/2 7 1/4 9 1/4 11 1/4 by 18 foot 3/8 and 3/4 inch by 4' x 8' sheets various shapes and moldings It can be glued together with pvc cement Youll have to test sealents to see if they will stick to it Any cut or routed ends will have to be sealed the factory extruded edges are sealed but any other edges will absorb dirt, moisture, mildew , everything even though there is nothing to rot. I like the material a lot its used here as exterior trim since it wont rot and can be painted the draw back is the cut, routed edges Have you concidered fiberglass for gunnels with a textured gelcoat
  8. sounds like you got it all covered. I have it on top of the bridge and you get reflection off the bow more than the railings. Only used at night to spot things like reflectors off bouys. No point in using it like a head light you cant see far enough ahead of you at night at cruise. If your going to go fast at night and its your turn to hit something your going to hit it.
  9. No appology was necessary but what a nice personal touch. thank you
  10. I would recomend getting your licensed home inspector and a home inprovement contractor to do your inspection. As you are going through the house any needed repairs can be looked at the same time since these things have to be done in a timely fashion. Additionaly you will be getting another opinion on things. You'll get the written report from the inspector and additional info from the contractor. Of course things are done differently in different states.
  11. I see they are going to expand some of the central and southern reefs with boulders from new york harbor.
  12. I had a finished home going for a co the town started a grading and drainage ordinance during the construction and insisted i conform. OK I met with the engineer and he said just take care of this and that and get it surveyed OK called for reinspection different engineer arrives and says I don't care what he wanted this is what I want and get it surveyed. The end result is they have you and they know it. They probably got beat up every day in grade school. The long run is that it is cheaper and quicker to comply than fight I graduated from hard knocks not law school.
  13. That is a good idea the clients get both sides of any issues that may arise before there is any time to overthink it
  14. some of these inspectors can't make it in the trades so they milk off the industry
