Good deal, I bet that was a great day over there. Monday night, my sister took her daughter and my daughter to Chapel Hill and watched the game inside The Dean Dome. They had a GREAT time. Needless to say they could not get anywhere near Franklin Street. See ya this evening and I am going to try the Shrimp Salad............

I know what you mean. I have seen that first hand experienced. I used to live up there and always fished the section up from the power plant at Bryson City, above the Outdoor Center. I can only imagine what it is now.

Hey Tom, good to see ya. Jim here, aka, Riptide from other sites. Hated I did not get up there to fish for those stripers. Maybe next year........ Season here is almost upon us.

If the others do not work out, Palm Suites may work better. It is a little closer(not by much) walk to the beach but does have a nice pool. I would still use Anchorage Marina as its closer to the inlet and its a little deeper water and marked well from the marina to the waterway.

Yes and they have a decent selection. I missed last month's get together but will definately be there for April's Good food, cold drinks, and Great Company. Thats a good combo....................

Kingair, not to detour the post but did I see on other site, where you used to live in Siler City? I remember you posting a pic an unfortuante housefire?

When I am down, I dock at Anchorage Marina on Atlantic Beach side. Very nice marina, stocked pretty decent and their fuel is usually reasonable compared to some of the others. The people there are great to deal with. I usually stay at The Caribbe Inn which is a small family owned place, within walking distance to Anchorage Marina. I will be there last week of May for the MAD event that takes place on May 30 There is also Palm Suites. This place used to be a hotel but now each room is individually owned but they have a on site managment that rents them out by the night or week. They also have several slips with a dock but only poles to tie up to. No floating docks. There is a ramp but it used to be in rough shape. There are others around but these are the only places I have dealt with. I am sure others will chime in as well..............

Winds gotta lay down soon. I am already planning next Friday to head down to fish on Friday and Saturday............

Looking to add a few of the Mann's Stretch lures to run on a two long lines. Was looking at getting a couple a Stretch 12 or Stretch 18 and a Stretch 25 either in the #10(Pearl/Black) or the #81(Red Head) colors. Thought I would post it up and see what yall use and if you tie on heavy floro or wire leader. Not targeting any specific, just wanting something different mixed in with my pirate plug/cigar minnows..... What say ye............ Thoughts, suggestions, recommendations.........

Best time of the year will be my first outting, hopefuly in a week or two and here my TLD's start singing................. Waiting on the Bonita's to hit.............
