Did I see BoKat on here? Well I'll be damned! That's good news. Thought you had just sailed off into retirement Bo.

Still planning on having a get together at our dock on 7/11. Hope ya'll can make it. Working on details so more later but this was posted this morning "somewhere else"...

"Hope everyone is still planning to come by on the 11th. I know we have had fun when we have done these in the past and it should be fun again with the lake up and the ramps open. Open for suggestions on what time you guys want to meet up. The whole day is open for me.

Thought I would go ahead and cook up pork BBQ on the grill / smoker. If you want to bring a side dish or something that would be great. As in the past, please bring your cooler with your beveridge of choice!

Send a PM if you need directions to the dock by either water or by land. It is pretty easy to find. We are on the south end of the lake on the Cumming side.

I should be at the lake most or all of this weekend so I will have limited access to the net. Maybe I will see you at the lake. Anyone know if LLI is doing fireworks this year?"

Bob,

Yep, I'm still around. Retirement isn't quite what I thought, I'm having to work a little harder than I planned.

Kathy and I will absolutely come to your get together if we are in town. Right now we are spending a few weeks in Fl. We are planning on coming back this weekend but we may not make it in time for your get together. Business has slowed so we took some time off. If it picks up again we may have to come back a little early, if so, we will definitely splash the Bokat and join everyone. Thanks for putting it together.

Bo

I haven't given up on it but there has been little activity from the Lanier guys on this thread (and the other one) for the last several weeks. Must be the dog days of summer.

Well at least its raining again! Hey Bob I live in Lawrenceville and have a 1973 Aquasport 19-6 that I aquired back in march. Its another project! Right now I have two"projects" one is the boat, the other is a 1955 22' Airstream. I have been reading the LL thread on the other place for months and finally decided to join here. I just hope this site gets a little more traffic. Some people get in a mode with the "easy' button and I think thats whats going on. I am sorry I didn't make the party you guys had but I'm sure I'll be at the next one.

I'm with you Jim. Real tired of this weather and ready for spring. i was in Florida for a week and it was cold there too.

Went out on the lake last Saturday and rode around. Trolled a u-rig but did not see anything on the sounder nor did I see any birds working. Water temp was in the mid 40's. Watch the cove pretty hard for the 2 days I was there and did not see any fish breaking. Did see a couple of loons working the cove however so there must be some bait.

I think you are right about the next 2 weeks. Things should start to turn around.
