What kind of axle do you have now? Torsion or spring? If its a spring axle you would probably have to get a tie plate. Is there enough room for another axle? Pics would help. Hard to answer without looking at the situaton. What capacity axle is your current one? 2000 + 800 is getting close to max if its a 3500 lb.

Well at least its raining again! Hey Bob I live in Lawrenceville and have a 1973 Aquasport 19-6 that I aquired back in march. Its another project! Right now I have two"projects" one is the boat, the other is a 1955 22' Airstream. I have been reading the LL thread on the other place for months and finally decided to join here. I just hope this site gets a little more traffic. Some people get in a mode with the "easy' button and I think thats whats going on. I am sorry I didn't make the party you guys had but I'm sure I'll be at the next one.

The 6.2 refers to the length, not the displacement. 6.2 meters = about 20.15 ft. I agree the volvo penta outdrive is normally a great system. I would think the 350 would have at least 250 hp which should make it run pretty quick. Post some pics when you get a chance so we can check her out as I am not familiar with that hull.

I've got a little more time to explain what I mean by staying away. I have read "somewhere else" about a lot of problems with just about everything on the boat. Be very careful! Evidently there are a lot of them sitting and the owners can't get rid of them. I myself would see if I could use the powerplants or generators or whatever else you could use on another hull. In other words pure salvage pricing. I myself have not read David's review, what did he say?
