Lowrance GPS?

Recommended Posts

Don't want to beat the brand, but I had excellent results with their eagle products, not so much with lowrance. Several people I fish with have swore off them. Customer service seems to be their biggest complaint. One friend has gone through three screens, Fogging,Freezing up- not cold, and loosing bottom (combo unit). Have problems with most units from time to time, but it seems Lowrance is over the top.

It could be your unit OR antenna. Check out this weblink to Lowrance antenna troubleshooting. Select the option for either Red or Blue connector varient (Blue connector is LGC-2000, Red connector is either LGC-3000 or 4000). Lowrance and its parent company Navico is all over the freshwater fishing sites right now since they forced out their top customer service rep Linda Colt. I have Lowrance products and Linda has helped me several times. Hope your problem can be resolved with the link below:

The LGC4000 has been a very good GPS antenna. I have yet to hear anyone with a filure. My guess is lowrance probably stopped making their own antenna... :2261_high:

Anyway, that's what I would replace it with....

Thanks - It was the antenna last time and it looks like it is the same thing this time.

Lowrance has sure been hard to contact - their web site stinks, it has two areas to submit to send equipment back, one will not work and the other will not accept the id # of the equipment.

Thanks for the help- with the foot of snow in Richmond, will not be going fishing soon.
