  1. It could be your unit OR antenna. Check out this weblink to Lowrance antenna troubleshooting. Select the option for either Red or Blue connector varient (Blue connector is LGC-2000, Red connector is either LGC-3000 or 4000). Lowrance and its parent company Navico is all over the freshwater fishing sites right now since they forced out their top customer service rep Linda Colt. I have Lowrance products and Linda has helped me several times. Hope your problem can be resolved with the link below: http://www.lowrance.com/en/Support/Product-Support/Troubleshooting-Guide/GPS-Module-Not-Responding/ Workdog
  2. I recommend the bags that Amish Outfitters sells: http://www.amishoutfitters.com/catalog2.htm They are heavy duty whether using for drifting or trolling. Once in the site, click on "Beefy Bags" for a description. Up on Lake Erie trolling for Walleye, to get a boat your size from 2-3 mph down to 1.0 to 1.5 mph you would probably need a pair of 22" bags tied off to your midship cleats. This company also takes back bags if you find you need something bigger.
