Add a link to your Boat Dock in your signature

If you have added your Boat to the ReelBoating Boat Dock (AKA Garage) you can now easily link to it in your signature file.

This method is a bit elementary now but I will be enhancing it soon.

If you have added your Boat:

1) Find the "number" of your Garage in the boat dock. To do so <a href="http://reelboating.com/forums/index.php?/garage/" target="_blank">Click Here</a> then click the link to your boat listed under the left side bar. Navigation---> My Boats

2) After clicking the link look in the address bar of your web browser.

You will see a URL similar to this: http://reelboating.com/forums/index.php?app=garage&do=view&id=2

3) The last number(s) after the id= is the number of your Boat Dock. In this example the number is 2.

Remember your number.

4) Open your signature file by <a href="http://reelboating.com/forums/index.php?app=core&module=usercp&tab=members&area=signature" target="_blank">Clicking Here</a>

Somewhere in your signature file box type in the following code with YOUR Boat Dock number between

 [dock]2[/dock]

5) Click "Save Changes". You're all set!

Not quite as easy as I thought... now my normal signature is just showing as a link to the picture I've always used. Tried deleting the "dock" line, but my sig is still showing as just a line of text.

Yes.... use the IMG tag instead in your signature.

 [img=ImageLink] 

Make sure the image link ends in .jpg or other image format. Take out all the junk after the file name. Copy and paste this for your image ....

 [img=http://i295.photobucket.com/albums/mm154/EdBoz/RBSigfile2.jpg]
