  1. So.... You've chosen to ignore my criticism? The contrast is less than desireable. Maybe that will spark your interest. It looks like the smurfs took over. PD
  2. Wow, cool video. I think I may have put down my cigarette in favor of another beer before I grabbed that Tarpon to hand feed a shark. Just saying. PD
  3. "Next time" you should fill the soap dispenser with naval jelly and see what happens... PD
  4. The comment about CL was in reference to posts here and on a local to me forum. He is very knowledgeable in most facets of boating/boat building etc... Best of luck in your search!!! PD
  5. Who told you that BS? Which part do you deem BS? That Pursuit is a nice boat or that it is not unsinkable or that it is not an option with small children? Regardless - it is not an option for me and as the buyer in this case as it pertains to this thread that is all that matters. With all due respect to you, the buyer. I feel that the only intelligent decision to make for yourself and your family would include your preferences and absolutes. The decision you make is your own and I respect that. I also acknowledge that the "events" that cause rapid descent or "sinking" are typically a by product of ignorance or unsafe practices. For instance, a through hull failing offshore (why would you have the wife and two small children offshore?), or maybe a collision, they cause boats to sink all the time, right? What about a power failure in a stiff head/ quarter sea? That would cause you to flip, the boat floats and so do you...BUT you might float in a different direction. There are a few reasons for this response, the most important being that you cannot compare a Volvo with side curtain air-bags to an "unsinkable boat"...Next, Cracker Larry is an asset in my opinion! His word is sage, when he speaks on a matter, you may want to inquire as to what he has to say! Best of luck to you in your search and please forgive my grammar. I will try to attach a link of my nieces on my Pursuit 2270CC. http://www.facebook.com/#!/photo.php?pid=31468895&op=1&o=global&view=global&subj=46200316&id=1415150104

  11. Wow, epic fail by the marketing team on that one....
  12. I would think a dealer that handles glass work should be fine tackling this job. That's just an opinion though.
  13. I am going to go out on a limb here and say this is the ultimate fish porn! Next "solid" pay day will be followed by an order..... PD
  14. "Boating is like deaf dating" You may may acknowledge the problem which is not readily identified, may diligence and commitment be your watchword. Best of luck.Your lack of mechanical savvy will shortly be replaced with an uncanny desire to "fix". I would go with the electrical/water separator theory..... PD
  15. I will be messed up as a football bat and not on a boat this Sunday. I will not be on my boat, she stays on the rack during holidays, too many idiots who think boat+beer=good idea. I might burn myself on the grill but I will live . Everybody be safe and remember what the holiday is all about. Cheers to all. PD
  16. I will start by saying that I am no expert on the matter. BUY an 1187! The first gun I ever owned was a hand me down 1100 that was at least 20-30 years old, swapped the rubber gasket for the recoil system and it shot fine. Moved up to the 1187 to be able to change chokes ( the old 1100 had no choke tube). I shoot trap, skeet, and am absolutely terrible at sporting clays (my fault not the guns). The 870 may be somewhat cumbersome to "shuck" when shooting true pairs instead of report pairs... And my thought is if the boogie man is coming down the hall at 3 a.m. in the dark I don't want to have to worry about racking another shell every time I shoot. Probably never need it for that but it is a thought. Last I would recommend looking at barrel length, I don't know what is best for your needs but ask locally or with the guys that you would shoot with and see what length barrel they prefer! Good luck. PD
  17. I will say that Woody Wax is like nothing I have ever used before! Truly AMAZING!!!!!!!
