Beautiful boat! 3 observations. 1, why no Power Pole, ON THE BOAT NOW THESE ARE CONSTRUCTION PICTURES. 2, the location of the Garmin GPS antenna begs to be kicked off under a number of scenarios--I UNDERSTAND THAT-BUT i AM GOOD WITH IT. 3, are your Suzuki SMIS gauges using the Garmin antenna for speed, or is there a separate GPS antenna USING THE GARMIN I can't see? And do you have a pic of the 5208 head unit at the transom SHE IS UNDER THE BOAT--A THRU HULL? Is the pod that houses the helm 5208s on electrically operated struts, or are they pneumatic, where you simply pull up on the pod?

Not exactly (3) 5208 head units, as we all were expecting...

I would guess (2) 5208s sharing a common transducer. I would assume a 1KW shoot-thru like this Furuno:

She is a beautiful boat, don't get me wrong. The Young's do very good work, and they had the resources to allow it. But we build beautiful boats also. It just seems you're putting your boat out there for all of us to "OOH" and "AHH" over...

For those of us in the business, that ain't gonna get it...I've been around them to long, I got over the ooh and ahh factor long ago...

If this seems harsh, then I guess I'll just have to live with it.

I could be totally wrong but I think he said somewhere that the 3rd unit was near the trolling motor??? :504_shrugging: Other than that I got nothing.

PD

PD,

Yes he did. But no sign of it looking at the pics posted. I just installed a couple of 5208s a couple of weeks back, there would have to be either a "pod" or some sort of waterproof enclosure to house it... :504_shrugging:

No I didn't post this for anyone to froth over it--not that kind of person. Just put it out because I think Young Boats is a great place to deal with.

I agree, some sort of housing would be needed to place it near the trolling motor. Why not just have a remote control to the trolling motor placed at the helm? Nice looking boat, what kind of fishing is it intended for? T-Top? What are the future plans for the beast?

PD

I will be using it for Bass on the Withaloochee, out to Porpise Point and Turtle Bay from Yankee Town down the St. Clair River for Walleye, In Lake St. Clair for Small Mouth and Muskie, and out on very calm days for Grouper

No T top can't get under the Rainbow River Bridge--The 5208 is removable --I only would use it while flats fishing with the trolling motor
