  2. HORBA is running the Miami - Bimini race again this year, I think in June.. Good opp for some folks to strut their stuff in an organized event... Nice to see a real world test by the way. Make me sick to read the tests some manufacturers do with one guy, freshwater river and 15 gallons of fuel...
  3. Twins for offshore. As far as fuel economy, a pair of twins can be quite efficient when propped correctly. Our 25 Whitewater, twin 200 HPDI's uses 13 GPH @ 43 MPH. Can I get it to burn 55 GPH? In a heartbeat, but I'm running 61 at that stage. Took a lot of tinkering with props to get it where it is, luckily I'm a dealer and had a bunch of boxes in stock. Under normal loads (couple / three guys, gear) it will plane on one engine, albeit not real quickly. Of course, when I lost a lower I had 7 people, plus gear, no way it would plane, but we did come in under our own power semi-planed.
  4. O, I don't know who you are, don't care really. No matter how you care to twist it though, you DO represent Proline when you publicly state you work for them, then slam their competition. I chastise my salesmen for doing exactly that to our competitors, it just looks tacky.. Their is a tactful way to get your point across in a conversation, sometimes it requires a few moments thought though, much like I just spent writing, and yes, editing this. Lastly, my "lack of posts here" has NOTHING to do with my experience either on the water, under a deck, or on the net.. Scott PS: I'm stunned you didn't like my Pacer pic...
  5. LOL, thanks Wiley, Hope ya feel that way in a month or so :) :)

Lurked a bit, finally someone aggravated me enough to join..

  6. How is your thermostat? Is the engine getting up to operating temperature? Rick Bingo...
  7. It doesn't seem harsh, it is harsh, and uncalled for from anyone, especially a competitor. The guy rigged the boat of his latest dreams the way HE wants it, HE stroked the checks, HE chose exactly what HE wanted on the boat. It's not up to YOU to decide whether or not HE wasted his money in YOUR opinion. As far as "not representing Proline", well actually, all employee's represent the company they work for. Maybe your not the official spokesperson, but you do indeed represent them... Sometime silence is golden. JMHO.. Tell Mike 'poodle says hi, hope all is well over there.... Scott Not exactly (3) 5208 head units, as we all were expecting... I would guess (2) 5208s sharing a common transducer. I would assume a 1KW shoot-thru like this Furuno: She is a beautiful boat, don't get me wrong. The Young's do very good work, and they had the resources to allow it. But we build beautiful boats also. It just seems you're putting your boat out there for all of us to "OOH" and "AHH" over... For those of us in the business, that ain't gonna get it...I've been around them to long, I got over the ooh and ahh factor long ago... If this seems harsh, then I guess I'll just have to live with it. Bob C
