well. I tryed a few of the sugestions on the rub rail Prob. But , nothing worked. Then a brain storm hit me. After messing around boats for the last 50 years ,BINGO , Good old Penetrol did it. Dont know how long it will hold up but, it looks new for now. When it looks crapey, put on another coat. I just though some body else may have a prob with a rub rail, if so,try it.
