I hooked a large manta ray on a stretch 25. Don't know if he ate it or just got snagged. He was in the process of spooling me when he broke off. Man, he was burning some line. Like others mentioned, I have had tracking problems with a couple of the Mann's Stretch 25. I tried all of the old bass plug tricks like bending the eye, but nothing helped.

I love Strech 30's and 40's.

I caught kings, blackfin tuna and plenty of bonito on them.

my favorite colour was the "firetiger", I lost both over a down boat.

They dont carry that colour anylonger.

I've been lucky on the mahi colour for the blackfin.

I troll them at 1000/1200 rpm, 200 feet away from the boat, the ticket to catch blackfin is to have your lures way back...

I caught a couple on a mann's 40.

I have a couple of different colours, purple/black, red/white, etc.

the mahi colour is the best since they no longer carry the firetiger.

I still have a strech firetiger 25, that is my prized lure...

when people where catching Blackfin tuna in FL only next to shrimp boats or at night with generator, I was the one that taught

about trolling for blackfin during the day.

I tried with Manns and finally figure out how to do it...

put the plug 200/300 feet away from the boat ans slow troll it (as further away from the boat, better it gets).

I have gotten good results. I go grouper digging (around 30 miles out), after I catch my limit,

I troll Manns plug's and 90 percent of the time I get hits on them...

I was a bit surprised since the 30's and 40's are huge and at first never taugh

a fish will hit it in the Gulf of mexico (Tampa area).

Bigger is better...

I notice the bigger plugs normally track better.

Another way to get Blackfin is to put out a fair amount of chum.

Give it a bit and the Blackfin, if they around they will show up, I will never

look out for shrimpers in order to get Blackfin.

I use drift lines with small live pinfish while I'm digging for grouper.

Its a blast, you're digging for grouper and all of a sudden one of the rods

in the rod holder goes off...
