2009 Boating / Fishing goals

Recommended Posts

What are some of the things you look forward to accomplish this year?

Boating goal, not to end up on the local or national news.

Fishing goal, slay large snook July-September. Purchase two 50w reels for wahoo trolling, catch Gulf wahoo. Add a couple more Spheros FB 14000's to my collection. Hook and catch more tarpon this year.

Well, last year I caught my first yellowfin tuna, sailfish, caught my biggest fish to date(60# wahoo),and bought my first boat owned exclusively by me. I can only hope 2009 will be as good to me. This year I want my first marlin(Hooked one last year), and a 70+# yellowfin or Bigeye tuna.

For 09 I'd like a little more free time and better weather when that free time comes around! Last year I had thought about selling my boat, but the wife actually convinced me that we'd take a beating assuming we could even sell it, and we'd miss being on the water once it was gone. So now I'm happy that I let her make all the really important decisions!
