"remember me"

Recommended Posts

I don't show up as logged in when I am on the main forums page, but as soon as I go into a forum the site shows me logged in. I'm gonna try what La Gringa suggested and hopefully that will clear things up. Other than that, the site works GREAT!

EDIT:

No, that didn't fix it for me but I still show up logged in on the sub-forums. I guess I'll have to do something more drastic if it bothers me too much. BTW, I'm using Firefox 2.0 on an old iMac running OS 10.2.8 but the hamster that turns the wheel to keep it going is getting tired.

Don't know nuthin' about your browser and OS. Am limited to IE7 and Windows for work. Sorry can't help you! :504_shrugging:

That's ok, I've been running this setup for quite a while and I think that I've figured out most of the problems. This one doesn't seem to cause any issues and it is probably related so some other weird but unrelated problem on my side. I just thought I'd add my issue to the pile in case someone else had a similar issue.

Wait just a second.....did you just say "work"? You are in T&C, aren't you and Gringo supposed to be on a beach with an umbrella covered drink or something?

Give this a try:

1>Close the site and close all open Internet sessions

2>Delete all of your temporary Internet files, history, and cookies

3>Open your browser and type in the true address of the site: www.reelboating.com

4>Login and be sure to check "Remember Me"

Report back please.

Yeah Spotter, it's definitely a "www." vs a non www. issue.

The top link is a non-www. I need to see if it is best to be www.reelboating.com or just reelboating.com

It is better to be www.reelboating.com

One of the biggest reasons is the "search bots" prefer it, proper URL redirects, hacks that may be added which read the client cookie.....

If the users will bookmark the proper link www.reelboating.com all will be good until the correction is made.
