Boat Rebuild-Tear Out

Recommended Posts

Today was a long but productive day.

We started by removing every piece of copper wire, which was all of it.

After removing all plumbing and opening up hatches, we installed a pop up light, two rear doors, and removed the bow rail.

We cut in a new console door and removed the front console door.

The next step and is make a list of needed supplies and fabrication of a new white plexi switch panel, and then glass in new floor in the console which will support new group 27 batteries and a fresh water system below decks.

Install mercury engine harness.

Install new seacock and mount bait well pump.

Fix drainage of fish boxes, (they never drained correctly).

Install new E-Box.

Mount a new all around light, w/ GPS and sat radio antenna.

Full spray curtains, life jacket bag and side bolsters.

I relocated all pumps and oil tank to the rear hatch area. All pumps, racor and trim tab pump will be in the starboard hatch. The batteries and charger will go in the console.

It looks like a mess and it is, but wait until it is done.

I am providing sweat equity.

Now you have done it! Don't you know that once you start one project that it leads to another project....then another....and another?

Before you know it you are $80K into the boat and everything is completely redone and brand new. Oh no wait...thats me.

But you're on the same track.
