What Reel To Buy?

Honestly Capt. Rick I don't usually target specific fish as I don't have enough skill or experience to do so. I will use a bottom rig or popper and just about all of my fishing is inshore from a boat. My fishing skills are pretty weak and I know better gear won't help that but I gotta start somewhere. I have heard that front drag reels are generally better so i will stay away from rear drag

I do rig for attempts at flounder, trout or reds, using a bottom (carolina) rig or popper and just about all of my fishing is inshore from a boat. I use the Ugly Stick Custom inshore rods,

and the Pflueger Medalist 7040 spinning reels with 20lb spiderwire braid.

This set-up will handle red drum up to 35" long with no problem.
