Mine are white plastic, not sure if they are marelon or not. I have several and they are just above the water line. They have never leaked but I don't know how strong they are and I don't want one to pop when I'm 20mi out. There's probably 9 or 10. My under water thru hulls are bronze I think.

Marelon is plenty strong. In order to receive NMMA certification we had t apply a 500lb lateral force to the top of a 3/4" seacock. It briefly went over 600lbs while cranking on it and showed no signs of stress afterward. Threw it away anyway but it passed with flying colors.

This sounds almost like CE cert... :504_shrugging:
