Yes, New Smyrna Beach is nice and it's about 9 hours from there to the Keys. Another option is to stop at the Kennedy Space Center if you want to play tourist. That's south of New Smyrna and about 200 or so miles from Miami.

Cross over onto Alligator alley and take in some spots along the West Coast. Have you ever been to Boca Grande when the tarpon run? That's a sight not to miss. May be getting a little late, tho..

You can always swing by Masaryktown. We would welcome you like an honored guest...

You can help feed the chickens, the goats and change the geese water...

Or just keep heading north on US19 and tuck on in to Cedar Key..old time Florida tourist town..
