Does anyone know if they are honoring prepaid gift cards? I've got one that I thought was money in the bank last Fall. Hope I'm not in the unsecured creditors class.

I just got a flyer in the mail...effective today the discounts go to 20-50% (still 10% on boats, motors, and electronics)

Store in Miami, Fl has everything @ 30% to 50% off, but its all really still 10% and some 30%, nothing 50%, like some else mentioned in there post prices were jacked up..

Today I compaired prices with other local stores and I can get a better deal there than at BW......

I was in the store in Atlantic Beach last weekend and they said they were still taking the cards.

Picked up some crimpers and sleeves at the Southport store this weekend and there were a bunch of people in the store buying. If someone doesn't open something similar in that location it is going to be hard to get all the "varied" gear needed for fishing/boating. Hooks, weights, line and all those things are pretty easy to find at the local stores, but bags, rod holders, coolers, electronics are going to be tough without driving all over the coast to get each thing you need. Should have kept them open and liquidated Ritz!

I went to the store in Atlantic Beach NC this weekend. The same story everyone else is telling...big signs with everything marked down 20 to 50%, but the only thing in the whole store I saw that was 50% off was two tables of junk that I wouldn't buy if it was 99% off. Lots of folks looking but not much buying. We bought a couple of plugs at 20% off, but they were no great steal. Inventory levels looked high, so not much has moved yet. I believe it will take something more drastic to reduce down to the bare walls.

The Raleigh store called yesterday to tell me that they had started selling fixtures....If anyone wants the reel spooling machine, they're asking $500

Update: I went by BW...the spooling machine they have probably isn't worth $500.
