Any advice on a trip to Venice LA

Recommended Posts

Big, take WARM clothes and and stuff for the ride out and in as th Mississippi River is COLD and makes for a COOOOOLD ride .

Don't forget rain gear and water proof boots or shoes.

Sun Screen

Bag of Snacks and Drinks

Bring plenty of Beer, water, food, for the trailer/room as there isn't anything there but the one burger/beer place by the ramp.

If you can , Throw a couple bags of frozen Bali Hoo as that can be Hard to get down there at the end of the world.

Bring a Vacuum Sealler and Bags if you have one , that really keeps that Tuna fresh for eating later.

I hope this Helps some.

Any advice on what bring, do, etc.

Thanks in advance.

Peace Marvel’s web site has most of the information that you would need to know for a great trip to Venice.

Might I suggest that you not fillet all your tuna and cut them into steaks right away if at all possible. What I do is gut, gill and head the fish and then pack them in ice for the ride home. They can keep nice and fresh for a week or longer that way. Back home I take the fish down into loins over that first week as I need them. Then the loins are cut into steaks only when needed.

I find that I can have fresh tuna longer this way.

I am a big fan of the vacuum sealer, both for fresh fish and frozen.
