Decided to do some fishing this week since i heard that some cobia are being caught. So I went and anchored up around the inlet. NODDA For me, not even a sniff. But as i'm sitting there on the Incoming tide I see spanish jumping here and there. I picked up my light trout rod and started casting. It was on. Just about every cast produced spanish. So weekenders pick up your rods and start battling spanish this weekend, Incoming tide in Beaufort Inlet. A guy back at the dock said he got 2 cobia on the back of shack. I'm done fishing this week but next week i'll be back out there hopefully and i can finally get a cobia. But for now

No i haven't. I have seen plenty of those Greenies/threadfin herring though, and a few mullet.

They were good. Cooked them up in a hot soy sauce mixture with jalapeno peppers with some rice and zucchini.
