  1. I will try that this Friday and report back. Thank You.
  2. This engine is on my new to me boat. It is freshwater. The mechanics, who I trust very much, said the engine is great. The VRO is fine. It needed a new powerpack and a few changed wires is all. I have her now on my Revenge, and yesterdays on my maiden voyage, she worked great….once she was warm. Once warm, she was powerful. She had to be started 5 or 6 times, with stalls in between, before that though. Question, is this what I can expect from now on? or a) its just old gas in the tank. it will get better. It wont get better… just make sure you warm her up lots before you take folks out for rides. c) its a battery issue. d) fill in the blank?
  3. HA! Yeah…. That sticker was original equipment. It will be going. Funny thing, my neighbor has a 23' Wellcraft, and he and I have always had friendly "words" regarding all my BostonWhalers versus his lesser boats (PS I am kidding about lesser boats… this is just our running fake feud). I showed him pictures of the boat when I was negotiating, and he remarked about the stickers, and "do you have to keep the stickers?" I told him yes, but that I would make him stickers for his boat that said "Non-Whaler"
  4. I bought the Revenge I just posted about from pictures online, and the fact that it was an original-owner boat, freshwater, from the midwest. Crazy? Yes. I think it will work out though. I trusted my gut. The seller had great high-res pictures. I bought it, they delivered it. Ask me in six months if it was a good move.
  5. Wow. I forgot about Wiley from THT, and actually haven't been on THT for a few years. As luck would have it, just as I was getting back into boating a bit, by buying this midwestern Whaler, I get an email soliciting me to sign up here. Pretty cool! Anyways, here she is, my 1987 Boston Whaler Revenge 20WT with my big Johnson
