  1. I agree. I f you are going to work on your own motor, you need a manual. Replacement of a rectifier will be very straightforward. Get a manual and get to work!
  2. Me Too...gotta give me a booster chair to see over that console!!
  3. Hmmmm.......Broward County.....did you get a permit for that??
  4. Great stuff...and for some reason I always feel to be a part of.....the tone and moderated direction of this forum is all the reason to hang around. Great bunch of fellow reelboaters who take a certain care and concern for one another. Good job to all..
  5. Another for BOE. What is that, six?? Just ordered compass, three pumps, Icom radio. Best price and free shipping if order is over $250. When the white compass couldn't ship for next day shipment and delayed it, they shipped ups overnight so I would have it before last weekend. I thanked them and am here saying good things for them for doing that. Also, their prices just could not be beaten!
  6. Just an observation....those are some killer mpg #'s for that boat and with twins!! Definitely doing something right. Must be the Zukes.....
  7. I have yet to order anything from them but a hub and bearings, but that is who I use and came recommended on another forum. http://www.championtrailers.com/
  8. The link works fine for me....here's one more link. The company is aboatauction@gmail.com... sale-fztbb-1122023346@craigslist.org
  9. Went bgack to cl and found this listing as well...I was able t pull up the site. Rick http://tampa.craigslist.org/pnl/boa/1122023346.html
  10. This just popped up on craigslist this AM. Lots of boats and a sweet 66 Mustang...wonder what some of these will go for??? http://tampa.craigslist.org/pnl/boa/1121752652.html
  11. What a Mutha!!! I am looking at the ring gear and imagining the starter it takes to turn that beast over! I am thinking it to be the size of a Civic!
  12. Here is a site you can use to help dial in your props. Scroll down the page to "prop wizard". Enter the info and see where you end up. Good luck! http://www.dansdiscountprops.com/
  13. I would have no problem using that to polish if the finish is good and not oxidized. If so, that Dewalt makes for a good compound applicator, with a random orbital used for waxing. The random orbital used with finesse-it does a great job of leaving no swirl marks. Most are not visible on white or cream colored boats, but a dark hull will show them easily.
  14. This has been a great thread and interesting reading! Thanks Thunder for the original post and Bob and Kerno for the additions. I appreciated the civility of it and how things were handled as things "warmed up" a bit! I feel the moderate tone of this forum was clearly evident throughout the discussion...I have learned a few things as well. All the more reason to support and follow my fellow members here. Good job to one and all....Rick
  15. Congratulations to Masters winner, Angel Carrera, of Argentina. He won in a playoff between Chad Campbell, Kenny Perry and himself. Chad dropped o.ut after the first hole with a bogey, and Angel went on to win on the second playoff hole. In some small way a vindication to '68 loser Roberto DeVicenzo, also Argentinian who signed an incorrect scorecard and lost to Bob Goalby.
  16. Great news..with all the Easter dinner and fraternizing going on today, as well as the Masters, did not get to hear that. Why hasn't anyone taken out their mothership that all the little boats originate from?? Seems alike a better deal than losing captains, crew and about $80 mil....
  17. Thanks, Wiley for the post....early morning on the Florida Nature Coast broke with a calm flat day and temps in the mid 70's. Dinner is in the oven and friends and family are on their way. We wish a Happy Easter to all who celebrate!!
  18. Cuba Libre's with dark Bacardi sustained me for many a year...now, it's just Perrier...
  19. You guys (and Gals, Jane) are humorous, amusing, creative and downright funny...never know what you're gonna see here....
  20. Thanks, guys for all the help. Located and bought one today...
  21. Great picture..if you're a dog lover or not you gotta love that picture. We have sent several relatives over the years to the Keys to participate in that and have seen some great shots when they returned! Our Jack Russel would have been all over that dolphin
  22. Ouch...bummer for the surgery. Hopefully things work out and you get better! This has been a lousy Winter early Spring. Fronts after fronts...if it calms for a day, the gulf is so torn up nothing wants to bite anyway. Bait (greenbacks) have been thin and scattered. I don't troll a lot, but tried some rocks today and my Manns 25's picked up every piece of grass in my wake. All in all we have gotten out, but mainly just for a boat ride. We did hit on some (6) macks last weekend around Egmont Key. Lightweight stuff that was fun, but not much to show for six hours. Anyway, always grateful for a safe day out, even for a boat ride!
  23. Bob, I knew there was a reason for letting you hang around on ReelBoating...you da man...
