  1. My 150 did the same, long hose run and 10 minutes overheat, stuck it in real water and no problems.....
  2. I have the same Mariner. 1989 40 hp. This power head is identical to the 40C 2cylinder Yamaha, pleanty of parts still available, Carb kits are like 30.00, I even have a Electric Start COnversion kit, has soleniods, new starter, and matching flywheel. Just do not now if I am going to use as have found a newer Yammy 30..
  3. Red or Blue....Blue or Red Do Not Forget to VOTE Tomorrow
  4. Sold...BP bought it, I towed it to the incident theatre and put a Capt on it and got $$$$ / day.... They paid for it in full within 2 weeks...and now I have plenty to cover Capt/Deck Hand wages...
  5. Ended up borrowing a OSRV, I had to get it oiled when I did some site surveys for equipment deployment. TIA
  6. As title sAys looking for 1/2 day or full day boat rental/charter for SITREP Anything avail. ?
  7. Boat still available, hate to see it sit on trailer and get no use, I only put 5 hours on it since Christmas Banks will loan 23K on this rig as it sits, a steal @ $ 17,000.00
  8. The first two pix are of Prestige, the crude carrier spill off of Spain and then DWH GOM
  9. Actually this is condensate from the well, it does have some crude product, if it were a true crude oil spill it would not have such a far reaching sheen spill. The warm weather environment speeds evaporation and dispersing through natural ways Good news is that roughly 50% of the condensate evaporates in the first 24 hours. the rest becomes more viscous material that resembles the properties of crude oil. On another note the more viscous the material the easier it is to collect through booming and mechanical skimming. Remember this is not a refined product it is straight from the tap per se I will post some pix to show difference from condensate to crude spills Updates can be seen here if Wiley approves ]http://www.deepwaterhorizonresponse.com/go/doc/2931/532827/
  10. Yep, its real big deal, I ususally do not get mobilized unless it is a "SONS" Headed to Houston on Sunday, have to be at incident cc at Westlake then onto NOLA and Houma Anybody else going to be local that I can hook up for some local intel tia Derek

  12. Got to make sure the garboard plug is installed....
  13. As the title sez, I just got back from completing a 7 day "business trip" in the Islands, we ended up island hoping in my colleagues Beech Barron. We started out departing FXE (Florida Executive) on Wednesday March 9 and arrived in Freeport a short time later, I had the opportunity to fish around the east end of Freeport but got blown out, this was the story on Nassua and Eluthera also the wind finally died down enough on Day 4 to get out and fish some local areas on Andros, stayed at this great little place called Small Hope Loodge where everything was all inclusive (except fishing and diving) including the top shelf bar, it was serve yourself though... On Andros we went after some bones on the flats but with all of the fronts moving through all of the fish were deep. At the end of our 1/2 day charter we hit the "Honey Hole" within an hour we boated 7 small Bones, four Pompano, several Gray snappers, two yellow tail and a nice mutton and a big ole cuda. The guide kept the cuda and Snapper for dinner.
  14. Still available...located on Lower Biscayne Bay, FL
  15. Still shopping, looking for that perfect 30-35' express boat...
