  1. I guess now that "TooReel" is gone I should put some pictures of "Almost Perfect" in this thread.
  2. I'll stick to Opti's. The sound of a 2 stroke coming to life "makes it move a little", if you know what I mean..........
  3. Turned 4 last Sunday and already wants to drive the boat............
  4. Mine just has the pies like you pictured. I'll dig around this weekend and hope to find the wires. Of course a sub and amp(s) will probably come next (when the admiral is not looking). She does not trust me to mount the ladder clips on the back much less cut a big hole in the console. We are having a ball with her. It was so flat and calm this weekend that I wish she had 225's on the back. The 150's push her good but.................. Thanks for the help.
  5. Right now it only has the 2 in the E-box. Looks like there are already holes in the front with covers on them. Any idea if the wires are already there? I won't be back to the boat till Saturday and want to make sure I take everything I need.
  6. Thanks, the family and I are ready to catch some fish. I think I would enjoy it more if the Trophy would sell. High bid was 15K on Ebay. I need the room more than I need the money but was hoping for better.
  7. 2006 ProLine 26 Super Sport with all the gadgets. Raymarine C120, windlass, outriggers, bow dodger. Powered by twin 150 Opti's (yeah, I'm old school and like 2 strokes).
  8. Friday...Southeast winds around 20 knots. Seas 3 to 5 feet. Friday Night...Southeast winds around 20 knots. Seas 3 to 5 feet. Saturday...Southeast winds around 20 knots. Seas 3 to 5 feet. Saturday Night...Southeast winds around 15 knots. Seas 3 to 5 feet. Sunday...South winds around 15 knots. Seas 3 to 5 feet.
  9. Old boat was TooReel. It was named when I bought it and I was too superstitious to change it. New boat is named "Almost Perfect". The name goes back to one day when we were hanging out in the springs. I'm floating around on a life jacket in the cool water and had just finished a beer. My wife asks how I'm doing and I replied that I was almost perfect. She asked why just almost and I told her that I was out of beer. She threw me a new one and now every time I tell her that it is almost perfect she knows that I need another beer.
  10. Thanks Lester, I look forward to hearing from him. I've added a few more pictures to the album to better show the boat. Plus it has 20 rod holders.
  11. Let's hope so on the raising fish. Honestly this boat is so clean it looks like she was never used. Add the great electronics, red accents (red is my Wife's favorite color) , windlass and bow dodger and I am one happy camper. I could have saved a few thousand on a different SS but it is worth it to me to have the features of this one. Now I just wish that I did not use my old boats name as a screen name. This one will be named "Almost Perfect" I am, I am ! That is one super good looking rig. And I'd be willing to bet she'll raise some fish, too.
  12. New boat on the way. This one needs to go. Uphostery will be done next week and I will probably put her on Ebay. Looking for around 17,500 OBO.
  13. Thanks for the replies. Now someone buy TooReel and make this easier on me. Someone needs a nice, loaded Trophy 2103 for a good price.
  14. Offer accepeted, Deposit given, and sea trial done. Now to get some financial stuff finished up and hopefully she will be mine next week. We were looking for a Bluewater but was having a hard time finding one set up the way I wanted that would meet my budget. This 26SS just kind of fell into our lap. http://pbckt.com/s9.9vl
  15. Pretty much every option available. 225 four stroke Mercaha with 460 hours on the clock, Navman GPS and fish finder, Northstar VHF (new July 09), fresh water, saltwater and baitwell pumps new July 2009. Brand new batteries April 2010. New porta pottie still in plastic. Telescoping outriggers, life jacket storage in T-top, electronics box, Lenco trim tabs, 2008 aluminum trailer with new tires (April 2010), semi custom cover that fits semi well and a bunch of other stuff that I can't think of. I'm taking the upholstery to the shop to get redone next week. Boat is in good condition for a 2004. We use it a lot and it does have a few battle scars. 16. I guess every clould has a silver lining. We just got back from a week in the keys and the 15-20 winds pretty much made our 21' boat worthless. I chartered a boat to take us fishing one day and the boat was a Sailfish 2660 which was high on my wifes want list. After a day fishing it she said the layout was a pain and the front seats got in the way of fishing. The next day we went boat shoping. The winner? the Bluewater 2550. So TooReel will be in the for sale section soon and I will have my open bow boat with twins that I've always wanted. Kind of glad that SeaFox she saw a few months ago did not work out.
  17. She loves the whole boating and camping (if you can call a 36' fifth wheel camping, more like a rolling holiday inn) thing we do. When we were searching for our new camper she was very involved and spent lots of time looking while I was busy working to pay for it. We were pretty set on a Sailfish 2360 but the layout of the Sea Fox is really nice. Plus it has two strokes on it which is a plus in my book. I have a four strokes on my current fishing boat and pontoon boat and I liked the two strokes on my previous boats better. It is a 25 footer so it will be a little tight for my canal/dock situation but should work. I'm negotiating now so hopefully I can bring her home soon.
  18. Holy cow, I can't believe that I mention Sea Fox on a boating forum and it did not turn into a 4 page bash fest. Toto, were not in Kansas anymore. I've never looked close at one. After reading about them on the other forum I thought that it would drink my liquor, run up my long distance bill, knock up my cat, catch fire and sink at the dock.
  19. No doubt that Prop's boat is a fishing boat. It was the other one that is in question. That's funny Still waiting for the OFFSHORE bit and the FISHING bit Oh come on, give the guy a break. It was a raw speed proof point. If you have a faster one, post it. The boat has wind screening and an open array radar. Those have to cost mph, but are used for fishing. My boat only cruises at 17 knots, but I can appreciate he actually fishes his boat and it's proven fast to boot. Just a thunk.
  20. So the admiral and friends are on a shopping trip. Somewhere along the way they pass a boat store and something catches her eye. They pull in and go over the boat and she loves the looks and layout for family cruising. She brings me the pictures and it is nicely layed out for me fishing. Nice electronics, twin 150's, plenty of rod holders and outriggers etc. The conundrum: It is a 2008 Sea Fox.
  21. Interesting responses. I'm not worried about vhf range as I have a sat phone. My first choice is a twin powered boat but the funny thing is I've been on two boats that had to be towed in. One was a single diesel and the other was twin powered. Both were newer boats and well maintained. I just wish I was not size limited because there are a lot more boats in the 26-28 foot range that would suit my needs perfectly.
  22. Sweet. I'm in the fabrication business and building a aluminum boat is on my bucket list. I have state of the art CAD systems, CNC high def plasmas, press brakes, etc. so it should be no problem. It will just have to wait till the kids get grown where I can have some free time to do it.
  23. That is the one I was looking at. I put in what I thought was a fair offer and they told me that they already had one higher but the boat is still available several weeks later. Makes me think that if it was that good of deal it would have been gone by now.
