Most smaller boat companies will take you on a ride.There are some that are booked solid and will pre qualify you.For the most part it shouldn't be hard especially when Reel Boating is backing you.

This is a great idea, think about it.... I want to ask each of you to consider doing the following when you are talking on the phone to any US customer service representative that is based in a foreign country (like India). I have done this twice and it works! Any time you call an 800 number (for a credit card, banking, charter communications, health insurance, insurance, you name it), and you are transferred to a representative (like in India), please consider doing the following: After you connect and you realize that the customer service representative is not from the USA (you can always ask if you are not sure about the accent), please, very politely (very politely - this is not about trashing other cultures) say, "I'd like to speak to a customer service representative in the United States of America." The rep might suggest talking to his/her manager, but, again, politely say, "Thank you, but I'd like to speak to a customer service representative in the USA." YOU WILL BE IMMEDIATELY CONNECTED to a rep in the USA. It only takes less than one minute to have your call re-directed to the USA. Tonight when I got redirected to a USA rep, I asked again to make sure - and yes, she was from Fort Lauderdale. Imagine, if tomorrow, every US citizen who has to make such a call requests a US rep, how that would ultimately impact the number of US jobs that would need to be created ASAP. Imagine what would happen if every US citizen insisted on talking only to US phone reps from this day forward. If I tell 10 people to consider doing this, and you tell 10 people to consider doing this - see what I mean - it becomes an exercise in viral marketing 101. Remember - the goal here is to restore jobs back here at home in the USA - not to be abrupt or rude to foreign phone reps. If you agree, please tell 10 people you know and tell them to tell 10 people they know....etc....etc....etc....

Hopefully thats not oil. It saddens me knowing how much oil is over there in the water and no one really knows the long term effects.

The motors are your trim tabs on a cat boat. To level the boat you move the motors trim.

they are cleaning the park first.dig down a couple of feet and you will see plenty of oil.The beaches there will not be the same for a long time.

I have driven boats without testing the pumps.I guess it is not a wise decision in most cases.

Looks like I am doing the e-tec motors 250.I am going to install the icon control system. Hopefully Wednesday they will start blowing the gel cote in the mold for the 31.

The guys from Americat created a new member named "THT Mod 4" to post over here after Mod 4 sent them to Banned Camp over there. They didn't want to pay the advertising fee, they were warned, but they kept at it... Frankly, with the type of behavior they showed, I'll NEVER consider an Americat... I am sorry you feel that way. Ameracat in not banned at THT for anyone that does not know. The THT Mod 4 post has not been posted by an Ameracat staff. Ameracat(Scott) has been working with Stefany from THT to buy advertising for 3 months now.Designing a banner add is not the easiest thing with your first one. Americat is a paying Vendor here.

both are good.....are the dealers nearbye for quick service?.....can the boat handle the extra weight of the 4 stroke? what do YOU want for an engine...2 or 4s? I really wanted 4 strokes but the Yami's are 20 % more than a Zuke. Zuki parts network sucks and Evinrude makes a great motor. I had them on the last 3 boats I owned.I just hate adding oil.

I am having my new 31 Ameracat built starting next week and I could go with either motor in the 250 HP. Any one have any thoughts of one over the other in that HP range.

Just because you've ridden on one cat don't mean they are all the same. No more than v-hulls are all the same. There are some cats that don't have the udesirable handling as seen in others. I had 2 Captains in Venice LA who owned a Glacier Bay ride on my Ameracat in Venice. The feedback was amazing. I couldn't do that in my boat I heard allot. There is a cat boat that rides like its suppose to.You don't have to touch the steering wheel coming in on a following sea.No snap and roll.I haven't rode in all cats and I am not saying Ameracat is the only boat that rides right in the cat market.You can't judge all cats by riding on one brand.
