  1. Jeez, people, there are folks who know what they're doing even if you can't tell from a video, or you wouldn't do what they are. My bones are too brittle to run like that, and I wouldn't do it, but some of you guys need to get over yourselves. You weren't there and have no way to determine what was safe and what was not!
  2. I suspect the hull construction was just fine. The problem was more likely a dumb-assed owner that tried to add engines where they didn't belong ...
  3. I never knew they made hooks for humans. Yep, just look in any store that sells fishing tackle. Bunches of stuff that's designed to hook fisherman. Heck, I've got a tackle box full of stuff that caught me, but has never caught a fish. ..remove it and report back. Did the press and jerk thing year before last, worked like a champ. The key is that the entry 'channel' has to be basically straight. If entry is arched, it could get real painful ...
  4. That's really interesting. Of all the admonitions the officials could have come up with, they come up with 'get a SSB if going outside 20 miles'. How about 'don't fish alone in what was probably 4-6' (which really means 3-7), or maybe 'always wear a Type I pfd when not tied to a dock', or 'no fish is worth dieing for'? Nope, it's about a radio the guy probably wouldn't have been able to use if he had 10 of 'em. Guess they saw no reason to belabor the obvious ...
  5. Conventional wisdom would suggest 7 people or 1700#... whichever comes first .
  6. So, you get pissed when the guy doesn't meet your expectations. Here's a hint, you're not his first customer or his last, and you might be disappointed if you over-estimate your importance to his business ...
  7. Why do you feel the need to send something like that? You shopped around, made a conscious business decision where to buy, but now you're gonna get in their stuff when you didn't even give 'em a chance to counter or price match? And by email rather than face to face? Were I Chris, I might be tempted to tell you to take your business down the street to where you got the great deal (I would use somewhat more descriptive language, but Chris probaby won't) ...
  8. Won't affect the potency for 100 gal, but you'll run for 15 min at double strength. Add it at the fuel dock, then add the new fuel on top. It'll mix just fine when you run back to the slip ...
  9. Beer is proof God wants us to be happy. Cold beer suggests God wants us to be delirious with joy ...
  10. OK, I'll ask. How was the fishing under your leaning post ...
