  1. The 600 pounder swam off when he saw the banana, you caught the retarded one ...
  2. A 'reserve' tank isn't much of a reserve without fuel. With that said, how often do you need a reserve in excess of your main? If you do fuel the reserve tank, have a utilization plan so the fuel turns over frequently and remains fresh ...
  3. Looking to acquire a dead or unusable Garmin 162 or 168, bail mount with or without internal antenna. What I really need is the bracket that screws to the rear to facilitate bail mounting. Beuhler? Anyone? Excellent chance to get rid of some junk laying around the man-cave ...
  4. Where's the photo of the sky falling ...
  5. Yep, Lunker Loins and Thunder Thighs have the femi-nazi vote this century. And yet some wonder why we're where we are?
  6. I admire Mr Obama! How one man dicks up the country so bad so quick is freakin amazing, and you have to admire such success in the face of such inability ...
  7. If you motor idled well previously, but now it doesn't, adjusting timing and cables probably doesn't solve your problem. That screw has something to do with adjusting the idle, maybe speed, maybe mixture, usually in conjunction with other specific steps. You don't know how to do it (nor do I), so find someone who does ...
  8. I'll sure sleeo better tonight, what with knowing 13,000 NOAA 'scientists' are on the job ...
  9. Ground zero for 23 (or so) nuclear tests. The US has spent billions in an attempt to make it habitable once again, don't know the status of that. I believe the film clip of a nuclear detonation in the ocean showing the shock ring engulfing a bunch or ships spread around was a hydrogen bomb test there ...
  10. In a word, no! Garmin charts are proprietary, and they're proud of 'em ...
  11. Woods has spent 623 total weeks atop the rankings, The PGA better hope Tiger doesn't get pissed. Were he to become celibate and apply himself, 623 could be a very small number ...
  12. I have a dingy, and haven't redunded a blow boat in 40 years ...
  13. You probably won't find a barb/bard in 1.5" for the fill hose. I cut a piece of dowel (curtain rod stock) and screwed it in the hose. It was still way too much pushing and pulling, but it worked. Pull the hatch off the tank if you can ...
  14. Doesn't seem like anyone, including the senators, are talking much about it. Wonder why ...
  15. Saddened, yes, pissed? At what? The people who own the well? A lack of industry expertise to fix the problem, never mind what happened has never happened before, and certainly not in the place it did? The government agency that permitted the well, the government agency that failed proper inspection? How about the administration that 'was in complete control' even though there was no clue about the fix or the clean-up? I'd probably be pissed, too, except I don't know who to direct my anger at, at least not yet. I suspect I'll have a better idea by about Nov 2, though. and now there are rumors that BP may or will sell out now too Yeah, BP puts out feelers to raise the cash extorted by the government, and some mental giant says they're gonna sell out. About as credible as the rumors that BP delayed fixing the well and the cleanup because it would be so expensive. What the heck are these people thinking ...
  16. Staybill does work, Most of that stuff works OK to stabilize good fuel. Won't do anything if your fuel that's already bad (likely after 18 months). If you had no other worries before the boat sat, fill it with fresh fuel and go fishing ...
  17. Power the unit off, push and hold 'quit' while powering on. It's a cold system reboot that sets factory defaults. If you get the screen back, rock and roll ...
  18. Pizzer, find something worth a couple of mil, and get nothing ...
  19. Your sending unit needs no further 'sealing' if it is gasketed properly. If you feel the need, you might want to use something slightly less tenacious than 5200. It's a much better adhesive than sealant, and much more difficult to remove/replace.
  20. I wouldn't start tearing carbs apart until they become a confirmed issue (if it ain't broke, don't break it trying to fix it). Find a portable tank and hook that up on the water with a buddy boat around. If the engine runs fine, start looking backwards at your fuel system. If it doesn't run OK, then start looking forward toward the engine.
