  1. We'll be there, don't forget cocktails sometime on Saturday
  2. I have twin engines with suzuki gauges & ignition. The port ignition alarm does not sound off when you turn the key to on. Starboard works. Anyone know what to look for or what part to replace?? Thanks in advance
  3. You'd figure after many years of owning boats I would know better. I've been leaving the main water intake valve open for several years. It feeds the live wells and wash down, but unfortunately I haven't been closing it & opening in order to keep it working. Now it's locked. I tried with my foot but only felt the handle flex, so I'm thinking of tapping it with a hammer and then using a 2' pipe over the handle for leverage. I'm concerned that the handle will snap and the valve will get stuck half open. Then I'll have a new can of worms. Any ideas or tricks?? Thanks.
  4. The new regulation is for our own protection ??? I feel safer already. The bright side though is that zone is minimum wake, not no wake. Zoom, Zoom.
  5. I have a c 120. Been extremely happy with the performnce. Are you entering the coordinates correctly?? Try this if you have not. Mark a location from your MOB button making sure you are on top of some structure, reef, wreck etc.... and push the at vessel position button, then travel away at least a mile and then return to that location via the go to waypoint. It should put you back on the spot within 10 feet or so. If not you may have to contact Raymarine.
  6. A year after buying my boat, I began to get water spots on my chart plotter screen that would just not go away. I would only wash it with soap & water and immediately dry with a soft cloth etc....It was becoming difficult to see the details and the glare was driving me nuts. I was worried about using any kind of harsh detergents. Expressing my fustration with my wife one day, she said " I have something that will clean that like knew" Being very skeptic I tried it and has been like new for over 4 yrs now. It's called Cerama Bryte. Sold at your local walgreens or cvs etc.... for a few dollars. It is made specifically to clean, shine and protect glass stove top burners. After washing the screen and drying it, apply a little bit of CB on a soft cotton towel or terry cloth and apply it in a small circular motion and working it like a polish, making sure to get right to the edges and corners. Let dry to a haze and buff. It will repel water, maintain the clearness and shine like new. Good Luck!
  7. Your right, should have never brought in any thing polical and there is no agenda, just expressing an opinion and what I see here locally. I'm going to do what Wiley recommends and have a Kalik anyway. I'm headed out now to drag some baits. Cheers!
  8. First of all Hello fellow boaters. I've been boating in S. Fl since 1985. In the last few/several years I've noticed an increase in Law Enforcement(The Man) in the waterways. Everytime time I head out or come in I see anywhere from 2 to 5 different law enforcement divisions constantly overlapping themselves etc.... This is all within 2 to 4 mile area of the waterway. Mostly on Weekends (to be fair) although during the week as well. Of course they're always busting boaters balls, (Wiley, Can I say balls?) Anyway, the days where Palm Beach County was fat and happy with tax money to spend at their leisure has ended, I think??. I originally came from a socialist country, I immigrated to the US LEGALLY (not off the boat, but by plane) and maybe that is why I'm bothered about too much policing. I mean every where you go The Man is there watching, patrolling, maintaining order , checking boaters (Ball Busting) etc.........Anyway, is it just me or has anyone else noticed? Or should I just have a Kalik and chill
  9. You should be running higher rpms. What's your speed @ wot? How's the hole shot loaded the way you explained?
  10. I keep mine in the ditch bag as well. It sounds like you have the Revere Ditch Bag with the external pocket which allows you quick access and no need to open the bag to retrieve it, so when it's go time it's all there.
  11. On the east coast of FL, if the wind is from the east it's usually productive. Now, I've never had a great day of catching when it blows from the west, so the saying here is; If wind is from the west stay home and rest, but who knows?????
  12. Very nice boat. I noticed this one morning heading out of Jupiter inlet though that may be of interest and worth doing some additional research. The boat was on my starboard side and it began to accelerate, the stern really dug into the water and the front end began to rise more and more. One of the two guys ran up to the front as to put some weight on the bow in order to help plane the boat. It finally came up but definitely did not have a hole shot. Tom from Tomcat Charters in Jupiter owns a similar rig. You may want to give him a call he could give you some good info.
  13. This is good to know for anyone that may experience the same problem. I contacted Nick at Nick's creative marine. Explained the symptoms and he immediately new what the problem was. Replaced the IAC valve which was a ten minute project and started right up. Glad it was an easy fix.
  14. To be clear. When I bring the trottle back to idle position it cuts out, prior to even going in to gear.
  15. Hello fellow boaters. After 375 hrs of trouble free operation I now have my first problem. Out fishing, was trolling, pulled back on trottles to idle position and starboard engine died. Tried to restart, no luck, primed the trottle in the neautral position and engine started immediately. Put trottle back in place to shift into gear and engine died again. I continued this for three to four times before giving up and headed to port on one engine. Next morning, I replaced the inline fuel filter, I was sure this was the cause, it wasn't. I replaced the water seperator filter and replaced all plugs. Hooked up the earmuffs and agian the same symptoms. Are there any other filters? It sounds like a fuel restriction problem???? What else can I test, replace, or look for???? Thanks in advance
