  1. Thanks guy's, looks like it will be four at once and I am going to check out the D 205 15 radials. Thanks Butch PS Garett, I just got a nice router table from up your way, Nova Scotia (sp?) I think is where it came from.
  2. would it be ok to mix them ? if I put two on the same axle, have brakes on both axles. It would help me with cash flow and save having to charge them. Thanks, Butch
  3. I have loadmaster radials on the boat trailer and they are doing well ( 3 years) ,had marathons before that but that has been beat to death enough. the boat does not spend the amount of time on the road as this trailer does though. It is pricing out about 200.00 more for radials but if they will last longer they would be worth it. I know when i went to plug the bias ply the reamer just went right through was not hard to push in at all and the plug would not hold. Thanks Butch
  4. Wasn't sure where to put this so here it is. I recently bought a 05 7x14 Horton Hauler enclosed trailer tandem axle. I'm using it to get my tool's to the job and pulling it most everyday, the trailer has bias ply tires on it and of course I already had a flat with a nail I could not get a plug to hold so I bought a K550 loadmaster bias tire and they are wearing fast, I will need a full set in a couple months, so finally my question is would I get better tire life out of radials than the bias plys? Thanks, Butch
  5. I don't know about Florida but in North Carolina they have to be positive flotation, under 16 and the Mustang's are not legal. I wanted to get one for my son (13). Butch
  6. I'm sure we can get Bonner Stiller onboard ( Rep. Brunswick), I talked with Carler Farmer a lot ( His secretary ) when we were working the towing law. Headhunt knows Bruce Goforth well, he is a Dem. in Buncombe here, I think he would help also, however Susan Ficher a Dem. here in Buncombe we can count out, I had enough with her last year also.We might have a friend in Arthur Williams, I still have his Thank You note hanging up here and Bill Brisson up in Dublin ( 22 nd District )is a good guy, I met him at the Wilmington meeting, he would in with the farming part. We could also talk with Rube McMullan at OIFC, he came onboard last year too. Anyway throwing some thoughts out there. Thanks Butch
  7. Yes I'm in, But I think we should figure out someway to include farming equipment there is a lot of pull there and is offroad also, that might help include the western part of NC. Butch
  8. Just an idea here, too late for this year but is there any bumper stickers out there ? set up a donation for the stickers, 7.50 each or something like that? Butch
  9. Congrat's, it is definetly more friendly over here. and I will try to come with something better than aunt irs I know sort of lame.... Butch
  10. There is a " fleet " out of Little River, I think they are called Voyager. If Jetty Jay is on here he would know more, I do know one of there boats is out in 75' of water from last year, the engine caught on fire ( I think ) and it sunk. It was in the Brunswick Beacon paper.Butch
  11. ahh Aunt Irs going to send her the " card " today. Some relatives I just have a hard time with. Butch Thanks Kingair without the info you gave me at THaT place I would have been in a huge mess.
  12. I would look for a Good GC, one that comes with good word of mouth from friends, I have a friend up here that does it (NC) but that won't help you in SC. There are real estate agents doing it in fact there is one around here and she does not know a flat screwdriver from a phillips at least a GC will be familar with the building. I have also been told that "most " HI's do not inspect roofs so get the chimney and valleys checked out by someone you know.Butch
  13. appreciate the apology , but as said above it was not needed. There is way to many stupid people out there and no way to prepare for all of them. Besides I would think trying to figure what we are going to come with next should keep you busy enough Thanks Butch
  14. that is good to hear, now if the media will leave the family alone ......
  15. Yes I would have asked I built one that I used for trout fishin had a pretty light tip, used to stack white bucktails that i bought down at Betts in St. Pete, two or three of them about 24" apart I would bump them through the lights on the piers w/ treble trailer on them. I can't remember the blank number though. Also had one for a 9/0 and one for a 12/0 along with a grouper rod with a 6/0 on it, short little thing #550 maybe. anyway thats good to hear, Butch
  16. told ya there wasn't enough air in the tires
  17. They also have these at W-Marine, http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs/store...mp;classNum=202 trim it up and you might be able to spray someone on the dock. Butch
  18. I have pic's of the last Marathon that went on I-40 in a thunderstorm, (can't figure out how to post them though). All of the marathons are gone and I am running Loadstars now and I too step one weight classification. Check the date on them , had four loadstars put on a utility trailer I use for work last summer and one tire was dated from 2001 I would not let them put it on. Butch
  19. evernic, sorry man missed you my last reply, yes that sounds about right, 71/ 72 dolphins and I was not here to see any of it. Butch
  20. I "remember" the 550 being the short boat rod , I could not bend it much, we used to shark off of the piers and I built a couple of them white grips with the blank exposed , jet black blank with red and gold and black wrap , had the diamond in the center of the bridges, then came the army . I need to find me another old Singer sewing machine with the foot pedal !! some one bought them I can not remember now Though. Butch
  21. Thanks to all, I feel good with these red ones now, you just keep hearing these terrible storys and is almost always my son and I, well you get it. Thanks Butch
  22. I grew up on the gulf side of Florida and friends and I used to build rods , tried a cast net once we won't go there. this is back 68, 69 or so but I remember those were the top of the line blanks. I am thinking about the 550's & 552's you could put a 9/0 or a 12/0 on them and shark off of the piers, tough rods only had those shoulder harness's , nothing that wrapped around your butt like these things that save your back, of course ergonomic's (sp?) wasn't on the mind then. anyway anyone remember the old Harnell's ? Butch
  23. Boz, Thanks, I am hoping to save a few bucks and use these units that just came off of the job I will put my glasses on and read the fine print on them to look for the CG. app. Thanks, Butch
