Yes it does fit, and I have a kit now.

I was told by Ken from prop Gods, that if I got a Solas Rubex 127 hub kit for my Yamaha 350 V8 outboard, that I could fit any Mercury propeller to my engine, as they are interchangeable with Flow torque hubs. I was all set to go ahead with this, but after I contacted a Solas agent,he said that this was not correct, and that the exhaust blocker ring that comes with the Rubex kit would not fit Mercury props, and only worked with Solas props. I know Ken has told me that several customers are using Mercury props on thier 350 outboards. Does anyone on here have a Yamaha V8 outboard, and if so, have you tried Mercury props, and does the exhaust ring fit properly or not ?

The biggest problem is the lack of propellers available to suit these engines. The 3 blade Yamaha props are crap, and ventilate and lose grip in rough seas and cannot be trimmed up very high for efficient running. I know that Powertech makes an OFS and an LFS series of props with a hub to fit my engine, but unfortunately I live in New Zealand and there are no Powertech dealers in New Zealand, so I cant just try a prop to see if it suits my boat.

Was it the LFS model props you got for your engines ?

Yep Whangaroa is a real name. It's also known as the Marlin capital of New Zealand. Also a good place for an ######!

Occassionally we take a Marlin and smoke it. Most are tagged and released, This was kept, and has been smoked, as it was the worst for wear by thye time we got it alongside the boat.

Yep it says ######, cause it took a long time to come, and we hope to get a lot of pleasure out of it.

I have had 42 Knots out of it with a half tank of fuel ( 300 Liters). I'm from New Zealand, and live at Lake Taupo, so fish for trout on the Lake, and also fish on the sea at Whakatane, Tauranga, and Whangaroa.
