I did contact Proptech and got the new 4bladed 16's I needed. 900 samolians lighter I am glad I called these guys. Only lost 4mph top end but 0, and I mean 0 blow out from these high torque engines. Plus my midrange improved, just like Proptech said the would. I would't go back. It jumps on plane like a rocket. thanks again for the good advice

LastDance 2008 34 Seavee twin 350 Yams Iv'e got 650 hours in my first year, not a hiccup. I have wisper quiet power steering from SeaVee---awesome with these high torque engines. Ronnies Marine came out and replaced both flywheels for the Yam recall, with the boat still in the lift. I have replaced both 3 bladed props with 4bladed 16's from Proptech. Zero blow out now in the roughest of weather, and it gets plenty rough on the Texas Gulf coast. Lost 4mph top end to 55mph, but jumps on plane now and midrange economy improved to 1.2 mpg at40mph at 4000rpm. Awesome ride, and wouldn't trade for the sound of those big V8s winding up. Just be sure to tell everyone to hold on before you jump up on top.

Thanks guys for the heads up, I'll contact Powertech and see what I can find out. WE have long runs here to the break, approximately 60-70 miles, so you can see how it could get old real fast. Again, Thanks Florida!

My 34 SeaVee with twin 350 Yamahas will top out at 62 mph so speed is not a problem. In the rough water we have offshore here in Texas, typically 3-5's and especially in 4-6's my props are blowing out and over rev way too much. I believe I going to have to go to 4 or 5 bladed props to solve. Trimming them all the way down doesn't seem to help. Where do I go for the right props for these new engines? Yamaha says they will eventually have 4-bladed props for these, since the increased shaft size requires completely new technology.
