Any Body Hooking Up With Any Kingfish Yet?

Have never done any kingfishing down here in tampa area. I am outta bayport/ hernando beach.. any body have luck down this way? any ideas or suggestions?

Hey, Josh..how goes it?? The kings are still south of us. From what I am hearing they begin to thin out a bunch as they head further north. I hear they start heading more westerly on their trek up to the La, Tx oilwells. I don't hear much about a kingfish bite going on at the other forums either. At least not for us....

There have been a few come into PC. I've had the flatline out while bottom bumping and the highly endangered red snappers are eating it before I get to see if there are any kings around.

We have picked up a few over the last 2 weekends while bottom fishing out of Clearwater in 20 - 60 feet of water.

They were schoolies 10 - 20 lbs. I haven't heard of many being caught near the beach yet. The water in close has also been pretty dirty lately.
