Boat Missing - Bolo

I read this on THaT other forum. I do not know the guy just know him through the "forum community". The story from his friend is below. The boat is still missing.

"My buddy Tarpon007 was fishing yesterday in Panama City on a new inshore 24ft Century baby blue hull with Full tower and 350 yamaha by himself. As he was climbing down the tower a strong wave turn the boat and he fell off. The boat was in gear and heading west. He had to swim about a mile to shore. He made it to shore but is still in the hospital. He's doing fine and will keep all posted.

However the boat is still missing. It had about 20 to 25 gal of fuel still in her. He was fishing just east of Philips inlet about 1 mile when he fell off.

The boat is still missing. Please Please pass the word around and be on the look out.

i heard that the boat was found near Fort Morgan and Seatow was trying to either salvage or unground the boat."also read it was in one piece but had taken on some water and sand"....as per thread on PFF

Sure makes one think of that wireless motor cutoff device; especially if you are prone to fish alone. I don't know where the cut off is for safety devices but there sure have been some bad examples this year that jusifies almost anything you can think of.
