Marine Radios and GPS equip.

I am a newbee and I am looking for some suggestions for a moderately priced VHF radio and GPS Chart plotter. I will be using this on a 21 foot Freedom for Lake and sometimes Ocean fishing (hopefully more than just sometimes)Thanks for any suggestions this group can assist me with....

If most of what you are doing is on a lake, I would thnk a good handheld VHF radio would be sufficient. As for a GPS, I bought a Garmin 441 last year and really like it. My model has the coastal maps in it, I would imagine you would want whatever lake you frequent and possibly buy the additoonal map for whatever saltwater area you frequent. If you have the extra $, go for the 551, it has a bigger screen.

You are at right place buddy. I would recommending go to Weems and Plath where you will definitely find the stuff what you want.
