Water in Fuel

Since my water seperators on my twin F150's indicate that i have water in the fuel, how do you suggest i go about adressing the issue with the remaining fuel in the tank...about 60 gallons. Is there a product that i can pour into the tank to treat the 60 gallons for water? I am not having any engine issues, I just noticed that the fuel/water seperators have water in them. Lastly, i do not use fuel with Ethanol so I dont kno where the water came from.

Check the fuel filler's "o" ring

Be sure you have a reverse loop in fuel line vent

Boy it sure would be nice if there was something that you could add to water to make it into fuel. I think Grandpa Munster made something like that once.

When in doubt have the tanks scrubbed.

There is a few products on the market that will "help" with smaller amounts of water in tanks, but you will need to near drain the tank first, make up a syphon hose with some sort of weight on the end, this will go to the bottom of the tank and may draw the water off first (I have had some success this way) syphon into a container that you can let the fuel settle in and see how much water you get out, after you have removed all the fuel and water, then look for "magic" products that will disolve water, do not fall for the old wives tale of pouring Methylated Spirits into the tank, it will not work.

I use a low pressure diesel fuel pump

to drain fuel tanks.
