Head boats

I want to take the wife bottom fishing. Looking to put her on some bsb and maybe some snapper and grouper. We cannot afford to charter and figured the next best would be a head boat out of Chucktown. I need recs on the boats working that area.

Of course if some one wants company on some trips offshore we could split cost for fuel, bait, ice and food/beer.

I don't know of anyone running a headboat out of Charleston. Try up the coast in Little River or Calabash.

You may want to post this on Charlestonfishing.com. Someone there may know of a boat there, but the last I heard there are none.

There is a " fleet " out of Little River, I think they are called Voyager. If Jetty Jay is on here he would know more, I do know one of there boats is out in 75' of water from last year, the engine caught on fire ( I think ) and it sunk. It was in the Brunswick Beacon paper.Butch

there were a couple still running out of Murrells Inlet last time I checked out of Capt. Dicks, the Thunderstar was the last one around in charleston that I know of, and it bit the dust.
