I just read a account of a forum FRIEND up in Washington state that got to use his DSC button this last Sunday morning [ Ripped the bottom out of his hull out in the middle of nowhere. After he hit the button he said WITHIN MINUTES there were 6 boats at his side . they did get his boat to dry dock after a bunch of fun and games [ In Canada was cruzing ] A EPIRB calls the CG but the DSC lets everyone know [ that has one ] of your situation. Guys if you have one HOOK IT UP , Is whats funny is I ordered a cable for my furuno two days before Steves accident . If you belong to BoatUS they will help and get your MMSI number for you .
