Winter Storage

I have a Bayliner 18 ft ... and have read the pro's and con's of storing in winter blue tarp v shrink wrap = 6 of one, half dozen of the other ... what about trailer tires? Is it enough to put tires up on wood planks? Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Shrink wrap is best for keeping the boat sealed against the elements, but before you seal it up, place a dehumidifier such as Star brite's No Damp to help prevent excessive moisture that can lead to mildew odors and such when you open it up in the spring.

Put the trailer on jack stands to relieve the pressure on the tires.

Also consider fogging the engine, and add a fuel stabilizer to the fuel. You want to keep the fuel tank as full as possible in order to help prevent condensation wheich in turn leads to water in the fuel.
