Gauge Questions?

Recommended Posts

I recently redid my console. All I had before this "redo" was a tilt/trim and a fuel gauge. I added several other gauges/switches, one of which is a tach. I have 2 issues, 1) the needle on the tach moves to 0 when I turn the ignition on but, once the motor is running, it drops back to below 0 and never moves again until I turn the ignition back off and, and 2) the tilt/trim gauge is not in sync with the motor (does not accurately reflect the motor position). I am positive the T/T gauge is hooked up correctly because I used the same wiring that was already there and the same brand (Faria) gauge. Is there an "adjustment" or something somewhere to fix this? As for the tach, it is hooked up according to the instructions. Is it likely my brand new tach is broken?

Thanks for any input.
